Job Summary:

 

The Program Integration Consultant plays a pivotal role in overseeing the integration of various Business, Technical, and contractor staff activities. By ensuring seamless incorporation of new functions, policy updates, operational improvements, and system enhancements, this individual contributes to the efficiency and success of the healthcare program's ecosystem. With multiple releases occurring on independent schedules and supported by different sets of teams and ARTs, this lead coordinates system integration activities across a broad range of stakeholders . Additionally, this role involves creating and managing processes that help the client navigate issues, risks, and dependencies in line with the Program mission. Success in this position hinges on the ability to sometimes lead from behind while also steering efforts of multiple independent vendors to meet delivery objectives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

As the Program Integration Consultant, you will serve as the lynchpin for orchestrating the seamless integration of multi-faceted project activities. Your role involves meticulous coordination of various aspects of the project life cycle, from inception through to deployment, ensuring alignment with the broader mission objectives. Leading with agility and foresight, you will navigate and align the complex web of stakeholder demands, system requirements, and innovative solutions to achieve operational excellence. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Foster cross-contractor collaboration and coordinate business and technical activities to ensure system integration meets operational standards.
  • Create and maintain robust processes and systems to provide a comprehensive understanding of issues, risks, and dependencies to support client decision-making.
  • Exhibit flexible leadership, capable of both taking charge when necessary and facilitating from behind to promote ART cohesion and direction.
  • Engage in regular communication with integrators, system developers, test contractors, IT Project Managers, and senior leadership to maintain project alignment and momentum.
  • Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication to foster and enhance client relationships.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff effectively.
  • Manage a dynamic work schedule that may involve working from various locations within the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.


Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3 or more years of experience with large system integrations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Proven leadership in team settings, with experience in guiding and directing teams towards project goals.
  • In-depth understanding of software programming principles and development techniques.
  • Proficient with Atlassian suite tools, including JIRA, Slack, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with SDLC (waterfall) processes, and Agile (Scrum) methodologies, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • [Desirable] Knowledge of Federally Facilitated health insurance marketplaces or health insurance eligibility and enrollment processes.
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working with healthcare-related government entities.
  • Certifications relevant to project management, lean Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.

A proven track record of successful project delivery within healthcare or government sectors.

Minimum Education:

 

  • A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree is required for consideration for this position. Degrees in IT, business, healthcare administration, computer science, engineering, or related fields are preferred.

 

Required Certifications:
  • Project management or Agile certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) are not required but highly valued.
