Job Description

ARHS Group – part of Accenture is looking for a Senior Technical Architect with expertise in digital identity standards for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Context

As part of the Digital Identity Project, you will provide hands-on operational services, recorded in appropriate management systems. You will address requests for technological expertise, deliver answers in various formats, and investigate technical issues under the Project Management team's supervision. You must manage personal and confidential data with discretion and integrity.

Role & responsibilities

  • Engaging in the architecture, design, and implementation of the Digital Identity Wallet.
  • Providing expert advice on essential security principles such as confidentiality, integrity, authorization, authentication, non-repudiation, and availability.
  • Testing and conducting periodic vulnerability and security risk assessments of the messaging and data transfer system.
  • Offering comprehensive guidance and consulting to optimize the integration layer for robust and secure data exchanges.
  • Participating in maintaining technical specifications related to digital identity protocols, ensuring their effective implementation in software solutions.
  • Creating detailed user stories and acceptance tests from overarching themes and features, breaking them down into manageable tasks suitable for a single sprint.
  • Engaging in decision-making regarding the scheduling of user stories into designated sprints, ensuring priorities align with project goals.
  • Actively participating in project planning activities as well as daily stand-up meetings as part of the Scrum framework, maintaining agile best practices.
  • Contributing to sprint retrospectives, release planning, demos, and various other Scrum-related meetings to continuously improve team processes and deliverables.
  • Reviewing deliverables and demonstrable product versions or software functionalities after the completion of each sprint, ensuring they meet quality standards and project objectives. 
  • Assisting with internal and external communication efforts to enhance transparency and information dissemination across stakeholders.
  • Aiding in prioritizing and resolving defects or bugs, collaborating with business analysts, customers, users, project leaders, and developers.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and security while driving the project towards success.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Good knowledge of English (at least level C1).
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experienced in leading and advising on complex identity management projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and data protection.
  • Effective communication and promotion skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in international teams and contribute to global projects.
  • Rapid self-starter with adaptability to fast-evolving technologies.
  • Collaborative team player fostering innovation and agility

Technical skills

  • 6 years of specific expertise in digital identity standards and technologies (W3C, ISO, IETF, OIDF)
  • 2 years of proven experience in edition of IETF Verifiable Credentials specifications (Selective Disclosure JSON Web Tokens - SD-JWTs)
  • 2 years of proven experience in contribution to ISO/IEC Personal Identification standards (ISO 18013-5, ISO 18013-7, and the ISO 23220 series)
  • 5 years of proven experience in edition of W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model (VCDM) 2.0,
  • 6 years of proven experience in Agile management (Scrum, Kanban, Lean project management)
  • 6 years of specific expertise in Technical Architecture of Digital Identity Technologies (Blockchain, OAuth2). 
  • Deep knowledge of OpenID Connect, decentralized and self-sovereign identity systems.
  • Familiarity with governmental identity regulations: eIDAS, KYC/AML.
  • Proficient in applied cryptography and blockchain technologies.
  • Skilled in designing software and system architectures for identity services (issuance, verification, digital wallets).
  • Experience with Web Services and API design.
  • Programming knowledge: Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.JS.
  • Competent in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
