Regional Social Lead (APAC) – Philippines / Malaysia-Based

Social Media Hybrid 


This will be a 1 year fixed term contract.

About the Role

You’ll spearhead our social-first media strategy across Southeast Asia—working on a mix of food and lifestyle brands. Rather than merely reacting to trends, you’ll design proactive, social-first roadmaps that leverage social search, listening and platform insights to elevate our clients’ presence and performance.

As our go-to expert on platform evolution, regional nuances and pitch planning, you’ll manage a small team, build trust with clients, and ensure every campaign is rooted in a social-first mindset and ties back to real business results.


What You’ll Do

Social-First Strategy & Proposal Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of social-first strategies, from trendspotting to formal pitch decks and proposals.
  • Craft persuasive, data-backed proposals that showcase a social-first approach, clear roadmaps and expected impact.
  • Ensure every plan aligns with overarching marketing objectives and regional market nuances.

Trendspotting & Content Excellence

  • Monitor emerging topics, viral moments and platform features—keeping brands at the forefront of social-first conversations.
  • Oversee creation of platform-native content, balancing brand consistency with local cultural sensibilities.
  • Champion creative experimentation within a social-first framework while maintaining performance KPIs.

Data-Driven Insights & Innovation

  • Translate analytics from social search, listening tools and platform dashboards into actionable, social-first insights.
  • Continuously refine content and engagement tactics based on performance data.
  • Pilot new formats, tools or features to ensure our social-first edge.

Client & Team Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor—presenting social-first recommendations, winning buy-in and driving social growth.
  • Mentor, inspire and develop your regional social media team, fostering a social-first culture of creativity and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with brand marketing, creative and media teams for an integrated digital approach.


Who We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of hands-on social media strategy and execution—ideally with strong agency experience.
  • Experience working with regional teams across multiple SEA markets is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in social-first strategy development and proposal planning—driving pitches from concept to approval.
  • A data-driven mindset, skilled at turning analytics into clear, measurable recommendations.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities—able to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Outstanding communication and client-management skills—confident in presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; additional proficiency in Filipino, Indonesian or Malay is a plus.
