Location: Remote (Per DoD SkillBridge Guidelines)

Why do we have this role?

Service Coordinators answer calls from customers, determine customer needs, and coordinate required services that help customers to reach their business and facility goals. Service Coordinators handle call scheduling and dispatching for preventive maintenance, on-call service, service projects, and parts orders. They are also responsible for submitting invoices to the billing department.

 


When are they involved?

Service Coordinators are the front-line contact for customers requesting service.


 

Who do they support?

  • Customers – Service Coordinators respond to incoming customer calls and ensure that the correct resources are dispatched to respond to the call. They also inform the customer when to expect a technician to arrive on site.
  • Client Service Managers (CSMs) and Associate Client Service Managers (ACSMs) – Service Coordinators meet monthly with CSMs and ACSMs to review upcoming service agreement preventive maintenance activities.
  • Field Service Specialists, mechanics, and inspectors – Service Coordinators dispatch service calls to Field Service Specialists, mechanics, inspectors and coordinate those calls with the customer.
  • Digital Service Center (DSC) – Service Coordinators dispatch calls to the DSC for remote service.

 


What are their main tasks?

  • Handle incoming customer service requests via the phone or email.
  • Create work orders and schedule and dispatch appropriate resources to execute preventive maintenance and customer service requests.
  • Order and track parts and subcontractors in support of maintenance plans and service calls.
  • Proactively follow up with customers after completion of services to ensure a high level of satisfaction with quality of work received.
  • Submit billing requests to the Billing Coordinator.

  • Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'.  


Other:  

Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead. If selected for an internship with Vets2PM please read your approval email, letter, and training plan to be sure you understand what is included in your internship.
