We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead in the Ireland region with experience in working in PHP based SaaS products to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Your mission is to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our enterprise customers while leveraging the power of the Experlogix Digital Commerce platform.  Our office is in Drogheda. This is a hybrid role, working some days from our Drogheda office.  


Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a Technical Lead your key responsibilities are to: 
  • Work with the Product team and your peers to architect and build scalable solutions using PHP, MYSQL and React.
  • Oversee development work in the current sprint, coaching colleagues and assist in unlocking tasks.
  • Lead code reviews and champion best practices. Ensure that the team can deliver high quality solutions using test automation tools.
  • Optimize system performance to ensure scalability.
  • Be a point of contact for the support team troubleshoot production issues.
  • Assist in optimizing the development pipeline, building on current Ci/CD practices.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends, working with Architects to ensure the platform stays up to date and maintainable.
  • Understand Agile methodologies and work with the team to optimize delivery.


Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience building highly scalable PHP applications.
  • At least 2 years in a lead role. Demonstrated experience as a technical "go to" person
  • Experience in a cloud/SaaS based software environment is highly desirable
  • A degree or formal qualification in computer science is preferred but not essential
