DIRECTV is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead and scale our quality engineering organization. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the quality strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-performing, secure, and reliable applications/systems. The Director will report into the Information Technology (IT) Delivery organization, which is broadly responsible for technical delivery of the systems that support DIRECTV’s customers, partners, and employees.
DIRECTV is investing heavily in technology transformation, modernizing our applications, and building independence from shared systems. This role is an important leadership position that will ensure continuity of service for our existing technology stack while also influencing the direction we take in the future. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing hybrid internal and outsource software delivery teams in a virtual environment, and a track record of success in doing so.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $154,850 - $281,060
Low (N1): $154,850 - $232,180
Mid (N2): $163,000 - $244,400
High (N3): $179,300 - $268,840
Top (N4): $187,450 - $281,060
