What You’ll Do

As a Principal Engineer – DevOps/SRE, you will take technical ownership of infrastructure strategy, champion automation and reliability, and guide the evolution of our cloud and on-prem environments. You will collaborate with developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions, build scalable systems, and establish engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability platforms.
  • Drive incident response practices, root cause analysis, and continual service improvements.
  • Guide and mentor engineering teams in DevOps practices and tools adoption.
  • Define and enforce standards for system reliability, performance tuning, and security hardening.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align infrastructure goals with business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash to streamline operations.
  • Contribute to technical roadmap, lead major initiatives, and own delivery of complex projects.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews and remediation efforts.

Who You Are – Key Skill Areas

🔹 Core Technical Expertise

Linux Systems Administration: Deep knowledge of system internals, hardening, HA setups, and performance tuning. Networking: Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations. Web Server Management: Expertise in managing and optimizing Apache and Nginx configurations. Public Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI—across compute, networking, storage, IAM, and cost optimization. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in Terraform and modular infrastructure management. Configuration Management: Skilled in tools like Ansible or Puppet for consistent and automated deployments. CI/CD: Experience designing scalable pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, with exposure to Helm for package management. Monitoring & Observability: Proven ability to implement and scale monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki). Scripting & Automation: Advanced scripting in Python and Bash for process automation and tooling. Incident Management: Strong understanding of SLOs/SLIs, on-call practices, and leading blameless postmortems. Security: Experience with IAM policies, TLS/SSL, OS patching, and secure system architecture.

  • Mail Systems: Experience with Postfix, Exim, or Dovecot.
  • RDBMS: Proficiency in managing MySQL/PostgreSQL, with replication and performance tuning.
  • Web Hosting Panels: Familiarity with cPanel/WHM and related provisioning tasks.
