Job description

This is a remote position.

Our client is an innovative, well-funded startup leading the future of decentralized data and blockchain infrastructure. With a globally distributed team spanning over 35 countries, they are solving critical challenges in blockchain technology, including consensus mechanisms, real-time data services, and Layer 1 solutions.

They're seeking experienced Node Engineers to focus exclusively on monitoring and maintaining their blockchain infrastructure. This role is vital to ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across various blockchain networks and ecosystem services. You’ll be at the forefront of infrastructure observability, incident response, and performance optimization in a decentralized, mission-critical environment.
Key responsibilities:

Monitor and optimize node health, sync status, and infrastructure performance
Deploy and maintain alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog, and Opentelemetry
Troubleshoot issues such as node crashes, syncing delays, and RPC errors
Build and maintain observability dashboards for different blockchain networks
Develop lightweight diagnostic and health-check scripts (e.g., Shell, Python)
Track blockchain network updates (e.g., forks, protocol changes) that may affect node behavior
Maintain incident logs and runbooks; collaborate closely with the Node Operations team for escalations

Requirements

Experience in infrastructure monitoring, DevOps, or blockchain reliability engineering
Hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining blockchain nodes
Understanding of consensus and execution layer health metrics
Proficient with modern observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, systemd)
Ability to write custom monitoring scripts and proactively resolve issues
Strong communication skills and fluency in English
Comfortable working in rotating shifts and occasional weekends

Nice to Have

Knowledge of RPC platforms such as Chainstack or QuickNode
