JOB OVERVIEW
The Clinical Professional Services Consultant plays a strategic, client-facing role in delivering high-value consulting services to healthcare organizations specializing in advanced wound care. Leveraging deep clinical expertise and healthcare operations knowledge, this role guides clients through the complexities of wound care program development, clinical transformation, and patient acquisition strategies.
This consultant acts as a key partner to internal stakeholders and client leadership alike—driving innovation in care delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting measurable improvements in patient outcomes. The ideal candidate combines consultative influence, hands-on clinical knowledge, and strategic thinking to support our customers’ business and care goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Strategic Consulting & Program Development:
- Lead the assessment, design, and execution of wound care service line initiatives that align with clients’ growth and quality objectives.
- Support the development of clinical protocols, staffing models, referral pathways, and patient engagement strategies specific to wound care.
- Advise clients on expansion strategies for hospital-based outpatient departments, ambulatory wound care centers, or multispecialty clinics.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build trusted relationships with physicians, nurse leaders, operations executives, and marketing teams.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to help clients address clinical, operational, and regulatory challenges within wound care programs.
- Clinical Workflow & Regulatory Expertise:
- Provide expert consultation on wound care documentation, EMR integration, reimbursement (including CMS guidelines and appropriate coding), and evidence-based treatment pathways.
- Ensure clients align with regulatory and accreditation requirements relevant to wound care services (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state-level mandates).
- Go-to-Market & Growth Strategy:
- Guide clients on marketing strategies and physician referral development to attract appropriate patients and grow wound care volumes.
- Collaborate on brand positioning, digital engagement, and patient education for wound care audiences.
- Internal Collaboration & Enablement:
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and implementation teams to customize solutions for client-specific wound care needs.
- Support knowledge transfer across teams and contribute to internal training content or documentation related to wound care best practices.
- Mentorship & Change Leadership:
- Coach client teams and clinical staff through change management initiatives.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from current-state to future-state operations aligned with service transformation.
- Engagement Oversight & Quality Delivery:
- Manage timelines, scope, and deliverables to ensure consulting engagements meet or exceed client expectations.
- Track utilization and project performance metrics to support internal and client reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related clinical field required. Advanced clinical degree or business degree preferred. Wound care certifications (e.g., WOCN, CWCN, WCC) highly desirable.
- 6+ years of relevant clinical experience, including at least 3 years of program leadership, outpatient wound care operations, or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of wound care workflows, clinical protocols, advanced wound modalities (e.g., NPWT, HBOT), and documentation requirements.
- Experience delivering client-facing services in healthcare technology, operations, or clinical transformation settings preferred.
- Advanced clinical assessment and problem-solving skills specific to wound care environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, billing, and operational data to make evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong project management capabilities with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for client engagements, team meetings, and industry events.
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating with distributed teams.
REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with EMR platforms and clinical decision support tools.
- Experience using CRM or professional services automation tools for clinical data reporting, benchmarking, and documenting.

Salary Range: $96,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD
