Job Information

Job Summary:

The University of Chicago Law School is seeking a part time, temporary, non-benefits eligible Admissions Coordinator to support JD application processing, tracking, and submission. The position reports to the Director of Admissions and Programs and is expected to work 25 hours a week. The Admissions Coordinator must work collaboratively with other student services managers and administrators to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely performance of admissions operations and to facilitate and resolve student and office problems. This position is expected to start in mid-August 2025 and the anticipated end date is no later than December 12, 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes online JD applications and supports the application process for prospective students. 
  • Tracks JD applications and reaches out to applicants when materials are missing or incomplete to ensure successful, timely submission.

  • Commitment to providing a high level of service with a positive attitude. 
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to follow directions and to meet deadlines. 
  • Maintain confidentiality. 

Additional Responsibilities

Education, Experience, or Certifications: 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Background in higher education and/or legal settings preferred. 

  • Understanding of student services preferred. 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

  • This position can be fully remote, but in-person training may be requested in the first few weeks of the position.

  • This is a part-time position of approximately 25 hours per week.
