Key responsibilities:

  • Support Avionics Program Managers in cost, schedule, performance, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Participate in technical evaluations, reviews, and industry sessions.
  • Interface with fleet support teams and customers to address issues and system discrepancies.
  • Assist in coordinating technical meetings, reviews, and project documentation.

Job Summary:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level with KBR? As the Senior Avionics Project Analyst, you will support the Avionics IPTL/Program Managers within PMA 207 in improvement initiatives related to cost, schedule, performance, and risk reduction across the K/C-130J Avionics portfolio as well as improve and enhance fleet readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in contract technical evaluations, reviews, and fact-finding sessions with industry.
  • Review and recommended changes to Statements of Work (SOW) for Avionics IPT contracts, ensuring inclusion of logistics requirements such as funding, manpower, and MILCON.
  • Interface directly with the C-130 Fleet Support Team and on-site Fleet Customers to address issues, equipment shortfalls, system discrepancies, and participate in test events, applying critical thinking and NAVAIR procurement processes to solve problems.
  • Utilize Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activities (OOMA) Naval Aviation Logistics Computer Information System (NALCOMIS) to review active and historical work order data for trend analysis which will help drive data driven decisions while collaborating with the PMA 207 Readiness Cell to aid with improving readiness in Avionics systems.
  • Assist in coordinating Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), and other events requiring detailed coordination, collaboration, and independent execution.
  • Assist Avionics IPTL/Program Manager in identifying project budget shortfalls and provided input for spend plan adjustments.
  • Review Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP) projects and provide inputs to the Avionics IPTL/Program Manager based on real-time observations and collaboration with USAF partners to maximize joint force effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Avionics IPT by ensuring all artifacts (i.e. contracts, budgetary, schedules, product reviews, briefs, etc.) are housed and archived by project to ensure longevity and redundancies.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Remote; must live within the MCAS Cherry Point, NC or Eastern North Carolina area
  • Travel Requirements: Moderate (20%-50%)
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of aviation experience; USMC/USN aviation background preferred
  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with 20 years of aviation experience; preference given to USMC/USN aviation background

Desired:

  • Experience in Maintenance Control and/or Quality Assurance, or working in AS9100/ISO9001 certified environments
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • K/C-130J experience
