Job description

Company

Adoc Talent Management is recruiting a Deep Learning Research Scientist - Foundation Model on Omics data (M/F) for its client. Our client is a startup revolutionizing in silico approaches in drug discovery by creating a digital twin of the cell, using a combination of breakthrough technologies at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, systems engineering, and single-cell multi-omics data analysis. Collaborating with leaders in the pharmaceutical sector and top academic laboratories in the field, and following a successful funding round, the company is now strengthening its team by hiring a Deep Learning Research Scientist - Foundation Model on Omics data (M/F)

Position

As a Deep Learning Research Scientist (M/F) with deep expertise in foundational models and omics data analysis, you will play a key role in the collection and integration of omics data, particularly single-cell and global omics datasets. You will actively participate in the strategic development and construction of multi-omics, multi-scale foundational models while designing data strategies aligned with the company’s drug discovery objectives.

As an expert in these fields, you will be responsible for scientifically validating the outputs of the developed models and ensuring their relevance for pharmaceutical research applications. You will play a central role in strategic discussions related to computational biology efforts and their impact on drug discovery pipelines.

Your mission will also include fostering interdisciplinary collaborations with teams in biology, chemistry, and clinical research to seamlessly integrate computational insights. Additionally, you will guide project teams, mentor junior scientists, and ensure timelines and objectives are met to advance the company’s strategic initiatives.

The position, which offers significant autonomy in its missions, is available immediately as a full-time permanent contract (CDI) in Paris.

Remote work from another location within France or internationally is also possible.

Profile

You hold a Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science or a related field, with a specialization in omics data analysis. You have proven expertise in single-cell and bulk omics data analysis, as well as in the management and integration of multiple omics data types. You have demonstrated your ability to develop and implement large-scale deep learning models, particularly foundational models tailored to omics data.

Agile, proactive, and dynamic, your temperament enables you to take on a leading role in your projects. A strong communicator who enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams, you value interactions with both experts and non-experts, whether internally or with clients, and find motivation in these collaborations. Given the global market addressed by the company, you are fluent in English.

Your strategic thinking is backed by recognized experience in defining and executing data strategies within biotechnological or pharmaceutical environments. You also have significant experience in project management and team development.

Finally, you are proficient in programming languages such as Python or R and are familiar with state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools. Your autonomy, versatility, pragmatism, organizational skills, and time management skills are strong assets that will enable you to thrive in a startup environment and make a significant contribution to your projects.

Send your application (CV, list of publications, GitHub repository, motivations, and salary expectations) without delay to Adoc Talent Management!
