GenesisCare now has a great opportunity to join our team as Clinical Research State Lead – South Australia. As the Clinical Research State Lead, you are responsible for research operations and line management of site research staff in South Australia.

You are responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with doctors, practice staff, Research Operations Leads, site research staff, Research Ethics and Governance Specialists and overcome any logistical issues to ensure successful trial conduct. This is a full-time role working Monday- Friday with flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to work from home.

More specifically you will;

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative, and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research.

  • Ensure all research is conducted in accordance with GenesisCare SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, study specific protocols and all applicable national and international laws and regulations.

  • Foster a team culture that supports our strategy, strives for performance, and follows GenesisCare’s values.

  • Have a thorough understanding of all trials being conducted in the state. Liaise with and facilitate collaboration between relevant hospital departments and third parties to ensure the provision of quality clinical services.

  • Collaborate with other business units and staff within the company to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.

  • Maintain open and regular communication with key stakeholders, i.e.  sponsor representatives.

  • Participate in Research Sub-Committee meetings and provide reports as required

  • Assist the Clinical Research Team Manager with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

  • Mentor and develop new staff to achieve performance goals.

  • Implement regular team meetings and ensure effective communication for management strategies.

  • Support the Clinical Research Team Manager and Quality Team to identify and proactively manager quality risks and issues.

  • An undergraduate degree deemed equivalent in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy or related discipline

  • A proven background in clinical research

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate and drive change by motivating a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, pro-active and co-operative manner

  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite
