Job description

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

We are a remote first company with the exception of a few positions being onsite in our  designated locations. The positions which are remote you will need to be able to travel a few  times a year. You may be required at times to visit client sites or attend meetings at designated  locations with your team members.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Digital Onboarding Specialist at Nymbus, you will play a critical role in the customer lifecycle by facilitating and reviewing both consumer and commercial digital account applications across our client financial institutions. You will ensure that applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with both regulatory standards and internal fraud prevention protocols. Working within multiple systems —including our onboarding platform, core banking system, and third-party tools— you will be responsible for validating identity, reviewing documentation, detecting suspicious patterns, and supporting customers through the digital onboarding journey.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review incoming consumer and business account applications for completeness, compliance, and quality.
  • Validate identity and business details using third-party tools (e.g., Socure), and flag watchlist hits or documentation mismatches for further review.
  • For commercial onboarding, verify business documentation such as articles of incorporation, EINs, and beneficial ownership structures.
  • Apply onboarding procedures tailored to each client’s requirements, product structure, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the Fraud team to assess high-risk consumer and commercial cases and implement appropriate account restrictions or monitoring.
  • Execute document requests for manual verification, ensuring all materials meet compliance and fraud mitigation standards.
  • Process requests for joint owner additions, ensuring appropriate identity verification and consent documentation.
  • Manage new account or product add-on requests for existing customers, ensuring consistency across platforms.
  • Validate and complete business name change requests, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with account records.
  • Navigate and take action across multiple platforms including onboarding solutions, core systems (Core), and digital banking environments (OLB). 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Client Services, Product, and Fraud Operations to improve workflow efficiency and customer experience.
  • Participate in testing and feedback loops for new onboarding features and automation enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years in a banking, fintech, fraud prevention, or client onboarding role with exposure to both consumer and business account workflows.
  • Experience handling KYC/CIP processes, document review, and regulatory requirements for both individuals and business entities.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and toggling between environments to complete casework efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

  • $45,000 - $50,000 Annual Salary
