Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
  • Handle incident resolution and problem management related to the container platform.
  • Perform patch management, updates, and periodic infrastructure upgrades.
  • Monitor platform performance, define backup procedures, and manage user profiles and cryptographic keys.

The Role

  • OpenShift / Kubernetes cluster setup
  • Capacity management and cluster performance management
  • Management and resolution of incidents, both directly responsible for the container platform and support for application malfunctions due to incorrect configurations on the container platform, in collaboration with client teams;
  • Problem management: identifying root causes, corrective actions, and tracking
  • Change management: handling changes following events or client requests. Analysis, classification, and implementation in coordination with other teams
  • Management of the basic components of the OpenShift / Kubernetes platform
  • Management of internal virtual network configurations within the platform and network interfaces for both application communication and management
  • Installation, configuration, and use of monitoring tools and alert management used by Kyndryl, and support for possible integration with client-used tools
  • Installation, configuration, and deployment of application event and log collection systems for use by the client team
  • 24x7 critical incident support
  • On-call shifts
  • Patch management and updates for platform components
  • Periodic infrastructure updates
  • Taking ownership of services
  • Periodic reports on availability and performance
  • Defining backup procedures for all platform components
  • Real-time monitoring of all platform components, identifying problems and managing communication processes (formal and/or informal) and categorization
  • User ID and profile management used in platform management, and possible integration with the client's LDAP system
  • Management of keys and cryptographic certificates used in the solution.

  • Experience in installing and managing complex infrastructures for medium to large clients
  • In-depth technical knowledge of involved technologies
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting and focus on problem-solving
  • Relational skills both internally and with clients
  • Several years of experience in delivery
  • Decision-making skills; Leadership abilities
  • Technical certifications (Red Hat, Hyperscalers, others, ...).
