Job description

REMOTE AND Travel 50–75% of the time

Overview:
We are seeking an IT Network Analyst to support the design, planning, and deployment of IT infrastructure and networking hardware. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that airport sites are prepared to support the planned installation of secure, scalable computer networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, analyze, and design computer networks at airport and transportation-related sites
  • Review and interpret site drawings and technical plans to ensure compatibility with proposed IT hardware and power requirements.Conduct onsite inspections to verify infrastructure readiness for network installations, including evaluating power access points, cabling pathways, and spatial constraints.
  • Identify and document deviations between site drawings and physical conditions that may impact network implementation.
  • Coordinate access to facilities with TSA project managers and airport IT infrastructure teams.
  • Interpret IT hardware installation plans to guide successful site preparation and implementation.
  • Produce accurate technical reports, assessments, and documentation following each site visit.
  • Travel 50–75% of the time to conduct independent site surveys across assigned regions.

Network Troubleshooting & Implementation Responsibilities:

  • Candidates being slotted for Network Analyst roles must have hands-on experience in engineering, implementing, and maintaining computer systems networks.
  • Act as TSA’s designated network expert onsite during installation at airport facilities.
  • Lead troubleshooting processes to establish or restore network connectivity for critical endpoint devices, such as Explosive Detection (EMD) Scanners.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and remediate any connectivity issues that may arise during network installation to ensure system readiness and operational continuity.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, network infrastructure planning, or IT deployment.
  • Proficient in computer network planning, installation, and support.
  • Experience conducting technical site surveys and interpreting network design plans.
  • Strong understanding of network hardware, cabling infrastructure, and power requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead network troubleshooting efforts in the field.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in field environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting abilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with TSA, DHS, or airport IT infrastructure environments.
  • Prior experience working within the transportation security domain.
     

Security Requirements:

  • Must have DHS/TSA suitability
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a DHS Secret security clearance; existing clearance is a strong plus.
