  • Conduct on-site and virtual property surveys to assess risks.
  • Analyze operations, exposures, and control measures, including sprinkler systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for risk improvement.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, policyholders, and brokers to support risk evaluation.

Position Summary:

Property specialist to conduct Middle Market field surveys and service support.  This will include both on site physical surveys and some virtual/phone surveys. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Attention needed with detailed assessment of operations, exposures and control adequacy as well as ability to evaluate sprinkler system adequacy and Normal Loss Expectancies and Probable Maximum Loss expectancies. Findings will be summarized in internal reports with appropriate loss improvement recommendations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Nat Cat evaluations (primarily flood, but windstorm, hail, wildfire, etc. preferred)

  • Competency with NFPA and FM data sheets

  • Competency with Microsoft suite tools and applications

  • Good communication skills for working Underwriters, policy holders, brokers

  • Solid time management skills

Education and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience required

  • Engineering or comparable degree/experience
