PLEASE NOTE: This is a field-based Sales Representative position. Candidates MUST RESIDE within one of the designated geographies (Charlotte, NC / Richmond, VA), as they will be responsible for providing coverage across the entire area. The role requires the ability to travel extensively, up to 80%, often on short notice and for extended periods, to support open or high-priority territories. Assigned territories within the geography may require consecutive overnight stays to ensure effective coverage until the next priority territory requires support.



Summary:

The Flex Territory Sales Representative plays a critical role in maintaining consistent field coverage. This role is designed for a high-performing, adaptable, and self-motivated professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Flex Territory Sales Reps provide strategic support by temporarily stepping into territories impacted by leaves of absence or vacancies to drive the sale and promotion of our clients’ selected products, ensuring continued sales execution, strong customer relationships, and overall business continuity across the geography.

This opportunity partners with a top-tier pharmaceutical company to represent and promote their portfolio. While reporting to the Vanigent District Sales Manager, the Flex Territory Sales Representative will be accountable for delivering aligned sales performance through the execution of effective, compliant sales engagements with targeted customers.



Essential Functions:

  • Perform all required duties in assigned territory in accordance with allotted expectations, promoting aligned products within the Diabetes selling team
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures and PhRMA code consistently
  • Meet or exceed established expectations for account / call activity and time in territory
  • Proactively decide on activities, educational programs as well as HQ-approved resources needed to effectively pull through the identified sales opportunities with targeted customers and other key stakeholders in territory/accounts
  • Analyze sales information and recommend actions to maximize opportunities aligned to brand strategy
  • Create customer value, demand, and advocacy for Diabetes brand
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision makers in account to execute business unit/brand strategy
  • Within an assigned territory, utilize all marketing and selling materials designed for a respective audience which includes physicians, healthcare providers and healthcare clinic personnel
  • Plan and organize activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage of the territory according to a plan of action
  • Participation in training and development programs while abiding by all industry and corporate policies and procedures


Minimum Required Education & Skills:

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • BA/BS Degree 
  • 1+ years pharmaceutical sales experience and/or 2+ years business to business sales experience
  • Endocrinology and Diabetes experience is preferred
  • Documented history and proven track record of sales success
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 80%, across a multi-state geography, often on short notice and for extended periods, including consecutive overnight stays including weekends
  • Must pass a background check and drug
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Analytical capability
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
