We are seeking an Apparel Engineer to join our regional sourcing office team. In this role, you will partner with brand developers, sourcing teams, and vendors to industrialize products through both physical and virtual sampling across all development stages, including innovation and concept. You will ensure that products meet brand standards in safety, fit, functionality, performance, quality, and cost, while applying risk management principles.

You will bridge the gap between development and production, ensuring technical specifications are accurate, pre-production risks are resolved, and all critical points are communicated. You will also independently manage pre-production and re-allocation sample approvals locally and support brand trips and strategic initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage issues with stakeholders.
  • Support product innovation trials and complex collaborations.
  • Partner with brands on construction, sizing, grading, and block projects.
  • Validate pattern overlays and samples before brand submission.
  • Approve patterns ahead of sample making as needed.
  • Review virtual and physical samples (Proto, SMS, POC, PPS, Counter, Size Set), provide comments, and update systems.
  • Collaborate on construction toolboxes, manuals, and SOP updates.
  • Track and manage Tech Pack discrepancies; update systems as needed.
  • Prepare for and support brand trips (Development, CKO, Innovation, Collabs, Fit Training).
  • Allocate risk to all orders, focusing on high-risk styles per RBM guidance.
  • Participate in Tech Pack handover meetings.
  • Manage rain room and other testing (Futurelight, Goretex, GB, etc.).
  • Oversee development-to-production handover and risk analysis.
  • Independently manage pre-production and re-allocation sample approvals.
  • Onboard new vendors and brands; support vendor capability growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process standardization through training.
  • Support TVCP and RBM programs globally.
  • Attend Pre-Production and RAM meetings as required.
  • Travel frequently to factories.
  • Engage in continuous learning and participate in projects.
