The WEC functions not only as a center for brand immersion and culinary excellence, but also as a vital logistics and distribution hub supporting two of Welbilt's leading brands. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead and execute warehouse operations within this dynamic environment. 

 

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and light assembly for parts and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Customer Experience Center’s day-to-day operations, ensuring equipment and materials are available, organized, and presented to the highest standard. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong operational experience, a focus on continuous improvement, and a passion for delivering top-tier service. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of warehouse expertise, team leadership skills, and a customer-first mindset to help drive the success of this facility.

 

Major Accountability:

  • Responsible for managing lean/continuous improvement projects to meet key metrics.
  • Manage all warehouse activities to maximize thruput to customers while achieving inventory and shipment accuracy goals.
  • Coordinate / communicate with sales team to manage customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all warehouse activities: receiving, shipping, storage and returns.
  • Drive lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed KPI targets.
  • Manage and improve local cycle count and inventory accuracy programs, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Ensure accurate freight management for all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Maintain and manage the warehouse operating budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S standards, and company policies.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse employees to drive engagement and high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, operations, and customer experience teams to align warehouse execution with customer expectations.
  • Resolve issues relating to cost, delivery, or quality, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution center management experience; including receiving, shipping, storage and returns.
  • Strong team leadership experience.
  • Forklift experience required. Forklift certification, preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 5S workplace organization methodology
  • Experience managing customer-facing warehouse operations, preferred.
  • Experience with commercial foodservice equipment or similar industries is a plus
  • Proven track record of success with inventory control, lean/continuous improvement, and team leadership
  • Experience with material handling and assembly operations in a warehouse or light manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates team-work and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail, ensuring the warehouse is consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and readiness.

Work Environment

  • This position requires regular physical activity, including walking, lifting up to 50lbs, and occasional use of a forklift.
  • Ability to travel by air or car up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Extended shifts or hours may be required, needed.
  • Onsite role, located at the Coppell, TX Customer Experience Center.
