Who we are and what we do:

Aras is a company that specializes in the development of the Aras Innovator software product. Basically, the development of this product is carried out by Aras in Poland, however, there are teams hired by Aras in other countries.

Aras Innovator is a product lifecycle management (PLM) system. The project can be anything from gluing a stool to making and selling planes. The product will allow you to model an object, its parts, and processes to track the state of the object.

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Japanese-English Translator to join our team. You will be responsible for translating both written and oral communications between Japanese and English, including business correspondence, technical documentation, and test plans.

Responsibilities:

· Translate documents and communications from Japanese to English and vice versa

· Provide consecutive interpretation and, optionally, simultaneous interpretation

· Work independently, supporting development teams and business units including customer communications

· Ensure culturally appropriate and context-aware translations, not just literal word-for-word conversions

· Manage workload and deadlines effectively, providing realistic time and volume estimates.

Requirements:

Must-have:

· JLPT N1 or N2 certification

· Internship or significant experience in Japan

· Ability to translate contextually, considering cultural differences

· Experience managing workload and deadlines independently

· Strong written and verbal skills in Japanese and English

· Willingness to learn about PLM system Aras Innovator, and quickly grasp product specifics

Nice-to-have:

· Knowledge of Russian language

· Experience with AI-assisted translation tools

· Familiarity with PLM systems and Aras Innovator product

· Experience with technical and business terminology

· Skills in simultaneous interpretation
