THE ROLE
As a Freelance Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for selling:
1. Sponsorship Opportunities for local and national brands seeking exposure through Sofar NYC shows and experiences
2. Bespoke Brand Activations and Branded Content for local and national brands looking to build meaningful connections with our online and IRL audiences
3. Private Shows for individuals and organizations (birthdays, weddings, corporate team events, etc.)
This is a high-impact, commission-only role—perfect for someone with hustle, a strong network, and a passion for music, culture, and live experiences.
*Please note that this is a 6-month fixed-term contract. Our Sales Specialists are freelancers who earn commission-based pay. This role includes monthly sales targets aligned with commission incentives.
What you'll do
Prospect and pitch private clients, event planners, and corporate partners for unique live music experiences
Identify and engage local businesses and brands interested in sponsoring Sofar NYC shows
Negotiate terms and close sales deals
Collaborate with the Sofar NYC operations and booking team to ensure smooth event execution
Maintain accurate records of outreach, leads, and conversion
Who you are
Proven experience in B2B/B2C sales, event sponsorship, or partnership marketing
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Deep familiarity with the NYC music, events, and hospitality scenes
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Passion for live music and the creative arts
Existing network of relevant contacts
Familiar with prospecting and CRM tools, including Seamless.AI and Hubspot
