Job description

Join ShiftCare. Build. Deliver. Optimise. Reimagine the Web Experience in Care Tech.

Location: Remote (Philippines-based)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Head of Marketing

About ShiftCare

ShiftCare is Australia’s #1 care management platform — trusted by over 5,500 providers and 150,000+ care workers across Australia, New Zealand, and the US. We’re helping care teams spend less time on admin and more time with their clients through intuitive, easy-to-use software.

Our website is a key channel for inbound growth. We're embarking on a full website rebuild to create a modern, SEO-optimised, conversion-friendly experience and we’re looking for someone who can own both the technical development and the project delivery of that transformation.

The Role

We’re hiring a WordPress Developer & Web Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration of our current static site (built on a custom Systemic stack) to a scalable, high-performing WordPress site. You’ll manage the rebuild from planning through to go-live — and stay on as the owner of the site’s ongoing performance, publishing, and improvements.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working across both hands-on development and project delivery, with an eye for performance, quality, and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
Website Rebuild & Development
  • Lead the technical rebuild of shiftcare.com using WordPress
  • Migrate the existing static (Systemic) site with full SEO preservation (URLs, metadata, redirects)
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, performant, mobile-friendly pages
  • Implement and configure CMS components, plugins, and integrations (Hotjar, GA4)
  • Build reusable templates for blog, landing pages, and product content
  • Integrate with tracking, CRM and analytics systems including: Google Tag Manager, GA4 & HubSpot (forms, tracking, CTAs, workflows)
  • Set up technical SEO, schema, and structured data as part of the migration plan
Project Management & Delivery
  • Own the rebuild timeline, milestones, and delivery roadmap
  • Coordinate design, content, SEO, and marketing feedback through structured workflows
  • Track bugs, issues, and UAT feedback using project tools (e.g., Asana, Notion)
  • Provide weekly updates to the Head of Marketing with clear progress and blockers
Post-Launch Ownership
  • Maintain and update WordPress content, visuals, and CMS components
  • Monitor site performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO rankings, and uptime
  • Implement and track A/B tests and user behaviour tools (e.g., Hotjar)
  • Manage backups, plugin updates, security and compliance requirements
  • Continuously improve page performance, structure, and publishing flexibility

What You’ll Bring
Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years WordPress development experience (custom themes, back-end logic, plugin use)
  • Proven experience managing high-traffic, content-rich websites, ideally with: 200k monthly active sessions per region, and 350+ pages of indexed or active content
  • Demonstrated ability to lead full-site migrations, especially from static/custom systems to WordPress
  • Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Back-end experience with PHP, MySQL, and WordPress architecture
  • Understanding of SEO best practices (sitemaps, redirects, canonical tags, schema)
  • Experience with Core Web Vitals, GA4, Hotjar, and performance optimisation tools
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong project management skills, including familiarity with tools like Asana, Notion, Trello, or similar
Mindset
  • You take ownership of both code and outcomes
  • You’re driven by results: page speed, rankings, conversions, and user experience
  • You enjoy leading projects and working cross-functionally across design, SEO, and marketing
  • You’re proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented in a remote team environment

Why ShiftCare?
  • A mission-driven company making a difference in aged and disability care
  • Be part of a high-impact project with full ownership and visibility
  • Long-term role with the ability to shape how our marketing site evolves
  • Work remotely with a collaborative, friendly and fast-growing marketing team
  • Competitive compensation for Philippines-based talent (range based on experience)

Ready to Apply?

If you're excited to take ownership of ShiftCare’s web transformation and you have experience delivering large-scale, high-traffic WordPress sites; we’d love to hear from you!
