RouteThis helps ISPs and smart home companies revolutionize support for the connected home. Using a combination of support automation and self-service capabilities, RouteThis empowers support teams to replace lengthy calls and error-prone troubleshooting Q&A with technical support interactions that delight customers and significantly reduce operational costs.
When used by support teams, RouteThis helps to:
- Lower average handle times (AHT);
- Increase first call resolution rates (FCR);
- Reduce no fault found tech visits and product returns;
- Increase Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and more.
RouteThis is on a mission to revolutionize technical support. We build AI-powered solutions that help Internet Service Providers and Smart Home companies solve connectivity and WiFi problems—before the subscriber ever needs to call. Our customers already benefit from our SaaS solutions today and we aim to magnify that value by building agentic qualities into our solutions. As we pivot our platform to be AI-first, we’re looking for a Senior AI Developer who thrives at the intersection of applied machine intelligence and practical engineering.
What You'll Do
Build agentic AI systems that solve real-world connectivity and support problems through planning, tool use, and multi-step reasoning.
Lead the effort in evaluating LLM usage for safety, correctness, hallucination, contextual relevance, and performance—ensuring the right model is used for the job.
Design robust prompts and workflows to support voice and text-based interactions across a wide variety of customer environments.
Guide and mentor other engineers, elevating the team’s ability to build agentic systems through design reviews, pairing, and shared tooling.
Partner with product and CX teams to deeply understand customer problems and drive intelligent solutions.
Prototype quickly to learn what works—and scale what does.
What You Bring
Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered products.
Familiarity in LLM evaluation techniques: tool correctness, grounding, hallucination detection, prompt tuning, safety, etc.
Understanding of RAG, multi-modal inputs, prompt engineering, and customer-specific customization.
Practical knowledge of LLM observability, model selection, and cost-performance tradeoffs.
Experience working in startup or high-speed product environments, where ownership and iteration are key.
Proven experience designing and building robust, scalable software systems.
Experience using AI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Surfboard) as part of your day-to-day workflow—and a willingness to share those practices to uplift the entire team.
A natural coach and mentor—someone who makes the team better by sharing insights, patterns, and feedback.
Voice interface or voice UX experience is a strong plus.
Familiarity with modern dev stacks (e.g., AWS, Python, Node.js, React) and CI/CD pipelines.
Not The Right Fit If...
You’re focused on building AI models or frameworks from scratch.
Your background is purely ML ops, backend pipelines, or foundational model training.
You thrive in large, structured enterprise environments with narrow scopes.
Our Stack
We use AWS (EKS, Lambda, Dynamo, RDS), OpenAI, Snowflake, Node.js, Python, React, Android, and iOS. You don’t need to know it all—but you should be comfortable picking up new tools fast.
