Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Minimum 20 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm

Client Timezone: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (AEST/AEDT)


Scope:

  • 80% of time focused on social media management and content creation

  • 20% of time available for basic administrative tasks and email support

  • Direct reporting to client with full management freedom

Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok platforms

  • Fill out social media calendars for entire months with planned content

  • Perform community engagement by joining relevant groups and interacting to highlight the brand

  • Reach out to influencers and potential collaborators in the landscaping/home improvement space

  • Send direct messages to prospects to build connections and generate leads

  • Respond to customer messages and comments, acting as a customer service representative

  • Create engaging viral content that follows current trends and targets appropriate demographics

  • Write compelling captions that drive engagement and conversions

  • Develop basic graphics, short reels, and videos for social media posts

  • Assist with basic email management and campaign setup during downtime

  • Handle basic administrative tasks such as research, file management, and data entry when not focused on social media

  • Follow up on leads as directed by the client

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social media management, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

  • Strong content creation skills including graphics, video editing, and copywriting

  • Understanding of social media trends, demographics, and targeting strategies

  • Experience with community engagement and influencer outreach

  • Customer service skills for responding to messages and comments

  • Basic administrative and email management capabilities

  • Knowledge of social media scheduling and management tools

  • Creative mindset with ability to produce viral, engaging content

  • Understanding of landscaping/home improvement industry preferred but not required
