Job description

This is a remote position.

The Parabroker is responsible for supporting our financial advisors and brokers by providing comprehensive administrative and client support. This position involves researching, preparing reports, managing client accounts, and acting as a liaison between clients and advisors.

The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills - effective interaction, resourceful, and able to find solutions independently, anticipating challenges and proactively addressing them, can be trusted to handle information, maintain confidentiality, and consistently deliver quality work.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Credit Assessment / Processing:

    • Prepare (and chase up) all necessary documents required. This includes but is not limited to ordering discharges, ordering valuations, chasing up of missing information, and ensuring everything is prepared accurately.

    • Review and analyse clients’ financial information, including credit reports, income statements, and supporting documents.

    • Assess clients’ eligibility for financial products based on lending criteria and policies.

    • Liaise with brokers to identify suitable financial solutions for clients.

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines during the credit assessment process.

  • Data Input / Document Management:

    • Accurately input and maintain client and loan application data in internal systems.

    • Perform quality checks to ensure all information is complete and error-free.

    • Update records and track the progress of applications, providing regular updates to brokers and clients.

    • Assist in generating reports and summaries for client files and broker reference.

  • Pricing Requests / Discount Acquisition:

    • Collaborate with the parabroker team to identify opportunities for price discounts on clients' loans. Gather necessary documentation and information required for lender negotiations.

  • Communication:

    • Reach out to existing clients through email and text messages, ensuring prompt and informative responses to client inquiries and requests.

    • Follow up with Banks for updates on the application process.

    • Support and follow up Brokers for Mortgage Instruction Report (MIR).



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working within the Australian Mortgage Broking industry.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the financial or mortgage industry (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment processes and lending criteria.

  • Proficiency in data entry with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

  • Familiarity with financial software or CRM systems (advantageous).
