We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller, eager to make an impact and serve in a critical role with a growing company. Our Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Company’s financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and compliance. As a key member of the leadership team, the Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and long-term strategy of the Company.
This position will be located at our Waco or College Station, TX office. We are also open to remote candidates in Texas only. Salary is in the $110,000-$120,000 range.
The Breakdown
Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management
Own the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Deliver financial reports and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working cross-functionally with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for operational improvements and cost efficiencies
Develop scenario models, cost analysis reports, and track performance metrics to inform leadership decisions
Direct accounting functions, banking, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the Accounting team
Direct the optimization of financial systems and tools to support business growth, scalability and data accuracy
Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA highly preferred.
Experience: 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in Finance or Accounting required, with a minimum of 5 years' Financial Controller experience. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial close processes, and general ledger oversight
Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills. EOS experience a plus
Technology Proficiency: Strong software skills. Advanced in MS Excel required. Proficiency in QuickBooks online preferred.
Analytical & Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills. Technical ability in strategic and financial planning
