Job description

Mayo Clinic Healthcare, located in London, offers a range of comprehensive health services and is seeking an Associate Cloud Engineer. The role involves developing and implementing cloud-based operational capabilities, supporting enterprise cloud solutions, and leveraging DevOps methodologies.


Responsibilities

  • Work will primarily be performed remotely but may require incumbent to be on site.
  • Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Cloud Engineer to partner with existing team members to develop and implement innovative cloud-based operational capabilities supporting key business initiatives that align with Mayo Clinic's strategic goals.
  • An ideal candidate possesses demonstrated experience leveraging DevOps methodologies to implement tools and services that optimize customer workflows along with maximizing business value utilizing cloud native technologies.
  • The Associate Cloud Engineer works to deliver and support enterprise cloud solutions.
  • Assists with developing internal and external compatibility of the system and subsystems.
  • Performs scripting by using a tool or combination of tools to automate a task or a series of tasks.
  • Is aware of SLAs and OLAs and takes steps to meet or exceed them.
  • Documents modified solutions, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
  • Writes configuration for cloud platforms leveraging appropriate tools.
  • Assists with the “Ops” part of DevOps.
  • May develop and maintain tools and frameworks that other teams use to smoothly develop their applications.


Qualification


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience in Cloud engineering / technology, or Associate’s degree with 1-3 years’ experience, or HS/GED with 3-5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • Certification in cloud engineering is required within 12-24 months.
  • Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorships now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).


Preferred

  • Familiarity with Agile and SAFe development approaches
  • Experience with Google and/or Azure cloud technologies/services
  • Experience with API/platform integration
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
