Our newly formed Global Specialty team, a fresh initiative within ICT, aims to boost our ability to address client challenges on the margins of our core offering. Building on early market successes, the team is dedicated to positioning ICT as a strategic partner by deploying our full range of expertise in innovative and tailored ways.
Clients
Project Support & Delivery: Assist in the execution of high-impact projects such as market assessments, target operating models, PMI, due diligence, capability benchmarking, distribution, and underwriting strategy. Ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables for Specialty P&C clients.
Proposition Development: Play a central role in defining and refining ICT’s new proposition for the specialty market. Leverage your entrepreneurial mindset to integrate insights from our technical and strategic capabilities, helping to shape a tailored offering that meets evolving client needs.
Contribution to ICT’s core proposition: Engage in building and enhancing technical expertise through hands-on involvement in key ICT initiatives when appropriate, i.e. sales and project delivery. This includes activities in line with ICT’s core propositions, e.g. reserving &reserve valuations, capital modelling, stochastic modelling, exposure management, insurance and reinsurance pricing, portfolio management, claims handling, digital trading support, etc.
Thoughts leadership
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with colleagues from both the Global Specialty team and broader ICT functions. Support cross-functional initiatives and share best practices to elevate our overall proposition.
Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and data analysis to provide insights into industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging client needs.
Financials
Sales & Pursuit Support: Collaborate with senior team members to support business development activities. Contribute to the creation of compelling proposals and presentations that position ICT as a trusted adviser in the market.
Delivery to external clients Engage with ICT across all its propositions to contribute to client projects towards your annual billable target
People
Stakeholder Engagement: Gain significant exposure to senior internal and external stakeholders. Act as a key liaison, ensuring that your work not only supports immediate project needs but also contributes to long-term strategic partnerships.
Cohesion with the team In order to drive excellence, team cohesion, efficiency and consistent learning development, we mix office presence and remote working, excepting our ICT consultants to spend a minimum of 3 days per week in the office
Qualifications
Experience in Strategy Consulting: 3 to 5 years’ experience in delivering strategy or management consulting projects, ideally with exposure to financial services or insurance. Experience may be gained from specialist management or strategy consultancies, Big 4 , PE deal teams, or corporate strategy teams within insurers or brokers.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Demonstrated passion for innovation and a proactive approach to defining new business propositions. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and eager to shape new offerings within a well-established business.
Passion for Insurance & Business Management: A genuine curiosity about the insurance market combined with a strong business and technical mindset. You should be eager to explore complex client challenges and help shape innovative solutions.
Technical Interest & Development: A keen interest in or experience with the technical aspects of insurance is highly desirable. You will be expected to learn & develop hands-on experience with the core ICT proposition and support the sales and delivery of core ICT projects.
Strong Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive presentations and client deliverables.
Analytical & Research Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous research and analysis, translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
Adaptability & Rigour: Comfortable navigating ambiguous challenges and capable of establishing structure and rigour in planning and executing projects.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree, in Business, Finance, Economics, or any related topics.
Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in strategy or management consulting, preferably within financial services or insurance. A track record of involvement in projects covering market strategy, M&A, PMI, transformation, or underwriting strategy is highly desirable.
Industry Exposure: Prior experience working with or within insurance/FS specialist consultancies, Big 4 advisory practices, or internal corporate strategy teams will be an asset.
