Job description

Job Title: Senior Release Manager


Location: Virtual

The Release Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination, and management of software releases. This role ensures that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and of the highest quality. The Release Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to guarantee the seamless deployment of software products and updates while maintaining a continuous delivery pipeline.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the release schedules and milestones for all projects
  • Coordinate release activities across various teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure that the release process is followed and that all deliverables are completed on time
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with software releases
  • Communicate release status to stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and ensure all release requirements are met
  • Maintain and improve release management processes and tools

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in release management or a similar role
  • Proven experience in managing software releases in an Agile
  • environment
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
