Role and responsibilities, and how will the role impact Slash?

Slash is looking for a strategic and experienced full-time People Operations Manager to lead our People Operations squad. This is a critical role responsible for developing and executing the People Operations strategy that will support our scaling, remote-first organization. You will own the entire employee lifecycle, from performance management and engagement to compliance and HR systems, ensuring we foster a high-performance and supportive culture.

In order to succeed in this role, you must:

  • Design and run engaging virtual events, activities, and rituals that foster a strong sense of community and connection among our remote team. Be the face of our culture!

  • Act as a central point of contact for team members, fostering a supportive, fun, and open environment.

  • Design, implement, and iterate on scalable People Ops policies and programs across the entire employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance, compensation, engagement, offboarding).

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small, high-performing People Operations team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, providing expert guidance on all people-related matters, including organizational design, compliance, and employee relations.

Requirements
How do you know if you are a good fit?
  • You have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 4 years of experience in People Operations or HR, preferably within a fast-paced, remote-first, or tech environment

  • You are an experienced leader with a history of managing and mentoring a small team, empowering them to achieve their best work.

  • You are an extrovert who loves to bring people together and possess exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across all levels of a diverse, international organization.

  • You are a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into actionable People strategies and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to deliver results.

  • You are highly autonomous and resourceful, with a strong ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive projects to completion.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of modern HR practices, systems, and a strong understanding of international labor law principles.

  • You are data-driven in your approach, using metrics and insights to inform people strategies and measure their impact.
