Panagora Group seeks Editor Consultants for the five-year USAID-funded Localize Global Health Security (LGHS) project.  The project will work with local partners in priority countries to address critical health security gaps and strengthen global health security capabilities as defined in their national health security action plans, contributing to their Global Health Security Agenda 2024 targets.

The Editor Consultants will be responsible for collaborating with LGHS team members to finalize quality communications products. The position requires an individual that is highly organized and a strong communicator. They should be well suited to finalize a variety of communication products to the satisfaction of the client. The Editor Consultants will report to the Learning and Communications Advisor and work closely with other project teams and staff (depending on the assignment). The Consultants will be engaged as needed for short-term assignments. This position is located remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides high quality editing services for technical materials throughout the project life cycle, including semi-annual reports, conference abstracts, and technical materials.
  • Proactively refines content for a spectrum of audiences.
  • Ensure that materials are consistent with LGHS's editorial style guide and branding and marking requirements.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, global health, international relations, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Subject matter expertise in public health and international development.
  • Minimum four years of relevant work experience required.
  • Outstanding writing and ability to convert technical content for lay audiences.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to perform under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Knowledge of USAID and the project’s technical and health areas strongly desired.
  • Excellent attention to detail and American English grammar.
  • Strong administrative skills, word processing abilities, and attention to detail
