Job description

This is a remote position.

Quavo, an innovative, trailblazing fintech company, is recruiting for a Senior Information Security Engineer; Peoplr is excited to be leading this search.

In this role, you will administer and maintain Quavo’s advanced security systems, including firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, CSPM, and instruction detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). You will fully own all Identity Management components, manage unique software baselines to directly support all job functions, serve as the primary executor of external audit events, including SOC2 and PCI. You’ll lead threat detection, incident response, and forensic investigations for security events, perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, mentor junior security personnel, and provide security awareness training across departments. Additionally, you’ll stay current with emerging threats and regulations, implement appropriate countermeasures, and develop and enforce security policies, stands, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices. This is a full-time, permanent position and is fully remote.

Requirements

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related technical role
  • 5-8+ years spent administering and managing security for Linux, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365 systems
  • 5+ years of experience securing a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or other CSP)
  • Strong hands-on experience with various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, identity management, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
  • Proficiency with Trello, Confluence, Jira, or similar tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business associates
  • Strong focus on teamwork and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience
  • CompTIA Security +, CISSP, or other current security certifications
