Job Overview:
Vector is seeking to temp AWS Infrastructure Architect. This position is a fully remote work arrangement, preferably within EST/CST time zones. We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Architect to provide expertise for a federal contract consisting of a large eco-system of highly integrated applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide infrastructure architectural guidance, build, and standardize the AWS implementation for a large eco-system of applications for federal contract that is looking to re-imagine their applications on AWS.
- Build/Deploy applications within AWS using a hybrid approach (on premise Database – AWS Applications and vice-versa) of new and legacy components (e.g. new front-end/services with legacy database or other mix-and-match approaches) to best fit budget/scope/timeline constraints.
- Set up a functional model for seamless script promotion (CI/CD pipeline) from development to test, UAT, and production.
- Establish infrastructure using scripts, adhering to best practices, and incorporating AWS suggested templates for compliance with standards like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 and HIPAA.
- Building/deploying applications within AWS using a hybrid approach of new and legacy components (e.g. new front-end/services with legacy database or other mix-and-match approaches) to best fit budget/scope/timeline constraints.
- Establishing infrastructure using scripts, adhering to best practices, and incorporating AWS suggested templates for compliance with standards like NIST 800-53 and HIPAA.
- Setting up a functional model for seamless script promotion (CI/CD pipeline) from development to test, UAT, and production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 3 – 5 years' experience working as an AWS Architect.
- Experience with migrating on-premises applications to AWS.
- Must have strong experience with AWS Infrastructure Services and areas such as security, performance, availability, scalability, flexibility, and global footprint.
- Must be experienced with building/deploying applications within AWS using a hybrid approach of new and legacy components (e.g. new front-end/services with legacy database or other mix-and-match approaches) to best fit budget/scope/timeline constraints.
- Must be capable of establishing infrastructure using scripts, adhering to best practices, and incorporating AWS suggested templates for compliance with standards like NIST 800-53 and HIPAA.
- Must be proficient in setting up a functional model for seamless script promotion (CI/CD pipeline) from development to test, UAT, and production.
- Must have e xcellent communication skills.
