Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, this client-facing role is primarily responsible for designing custom solutions for clients who are migrating their IPMS to Equinox Corporate+. This role bridges deep Intellectual Property (IP) domain expertise with technical systems implementations, supporting business analysts in translating client needs into actionable IPMS configurations.
As a core member of the implementation team, this role will provide subject matter expertise in IP law and processes – particularly patents, trademarks, design and portfolio management – and guide the customization of software platforms to align with client operations. This role works closely with clients, business analysts, project managers, product marketing and developers to ensure technical deliveries reflect real-work IP workflows and compliance requirements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the configuration and customization of IPMS solutions tailored to meet client-specific needs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to interpret client requirements in the context of IP workflows, including docketing, portfolio management, prosecution, renewals, and compliance.
- Provide domain expertise on patent, trademark, and design rights, particularly as it relates to process automation and data modeling in Equinox Corporate +.
- Support data migration, validation, and mapping activities from legacy systems to Equinox Corporate +.
- Translate IP regulatory requirements into system logic and compliance configurations.
- Coordinating and collaborating with cross-departmental efforts to ensure solution compatibility and success
- Participate in testing, training, and documentation development to ensure solutions are user-friendly and functionally robust.
- Serve as a liaison between the client IP team, business analysts and technical developers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Participate in pre-sales meetings with clients and the sales team as required
- Assist with writing statements of work defining the client requirements and technical solutions
- Participate in client workshops and performing business analytics to ensure successful solution implementation and business efficiency through their knowledge of both IP and business function.
- Communicate with clients about requirements for data imports and flagging any issues in dataset to customers.

Education and Experience: This role demands a combination of technical proficiency and strong Intellectual Property expertise including:
- 3+ years of experience working in IP operations, docketing, or portfolio management required
- Strong understanding of global IP lifecycles, procedures, and regulations required
- Experience working with or implementing IPMS platforms preferred
- Familiarity with database structures and data mapping in IP environments preferred
- 3+ years' experience with software development, databases, system architecture, and design preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and similar productivity tools
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence preferred
- Ability to analyze complex IP workflows and articulate business and technical requirements
- Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact diplomatically with all levels of law firm and corporate personnel
- Strong documentation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies preferred
- Experience building solutions to support and improve process
- Building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding client needs, and providing tailored solutions
- Adjusting to new challenges and changes in technology or project requirements swiftly
- Consistently demonstrates honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times
- Fluency in English required, fluency in a foreign language a plus
