OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, and extensive experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and big data technologies. They will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient and scalable infrastructure solutions, automating and streamlining the deployment and management of applications, and ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll be doing:

• Expert in AWS (EC2, S3, IaM, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB)
• High proficiency in IaC (Terraform)
• Collaborate with developers to build and maintain scalable, highly available systems
• Monitor and optimise the performance, reliability, and security of our systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in multiple environments in a timely manner
  Collaborate to identify and implement best practices for infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines
• Work on continuously improving and evolving infrastructure and deployment processes
• Experience monitoring costs and budgets of infrastructure, and optimising for cost

REQUIREMENTS:

What you need to be successful:

• Familiarity with distributed systems (HDFS, Kafka, Spark)
• Demonstrable, extensive experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Proficient in Python
• Proficient with shell scripting
• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab CI/CD, TeamCity
• Experience with Prometheus / grafana
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Relentless willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and best practices in the field
