Key responsibilities:

  • Mentor high school students remotely via video calls.

Job description

Indigo Research provides a unique opportunity to mentor highly motivated high school students from around the world, helping them learn about academic research and complete a college-level project. Our program offers high-quality research mentorship to aspiring students from diverse backgrounds, with the goals of giving them valuable experience in academic research and making a significant impact on their future academic and professional careers.

As an Indigo Research Mentor, you will work remotely and connect with students via video call. You will guide them through the research and writing process, with the goal of helping them complete and publish a small independent research project, such as a literature review, research paper, or even an App! Through your guidance and mentorship, you will help students develop their skills, discover their passions, and unlock their potential.

Qualifications:

  • PhD candidates, Postdoctoral Research Fellows, Lecturers, or Professors currently studying, researching or teaching Economics at US top 30 or UK top 20 universities
  • Master’s students studying Economics at US top 20 or UK top 10 universities
  • A high degree of empathy and deep cross-cultural comfort when working with high-school students
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing changes
  • Flexible when working in a start-up environment
  • Sound judgment and knowing when to ask for support!
