Description

JOB SUMMARY 

This role is responsible for leading a clinical pharmacy operations team consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists that deliver telephonic clinical services for our clients’ patients as part of the Outcomes™ Patient Engagement Team. This role oversees and facilitates the execution of customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient outcomes and may also consult with and advise healthcare team(s) on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes. The Mgr, Pharmacy Operations role works closely with the Strategic Operations leader to execute efficient workflow and technology design in addition to assuring all 
legal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements are maintained at the best demonstrated practice. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage department operations and supervises professional employees, frontline supervisors, 
    and/or business support staff
  • Hire, coach and develop pharmacy operations’ staff, ensuring employees operate within 
    guidelines and meet all regulatory and state board licensure requirements.
  • Monitor, analyze, review, and report on pharmacy operations metrics 
  • Collaborate with strategic and call center operations leadership to effectively prepare work 
    schedules to balance labor capacity with service volume and ensure sufficient coverage.
  • Evaluate potential new clinical services 
  • Responsible for vendor relationships as needed
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to improve work processes, labor efficiency, patient 
    satisfaction and business performance
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills are essential
  • Customer service, problem solving, and analytical skills required
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, demonstrating professionalism and good judgment
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction, while also being part of an integrated team
  • Ability to manage competing demands and multiple priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and exemplary follow-through
  • Travel Requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to 10%

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum years of work experience: 5 years
  • Minimum level of education or education/experience: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from a college accredited by ACPE or graduate of a foreign college
  • 5+ years pharmacy operations leadership experience required; MTM services leadership preferred
  • Experience working with clinical data systems
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Product tracking tools

The hiring range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000 annual base pay + commission per year. The actual base pay offered will consider candidate’s geographic location, job related knowledge, experience, and skill amongst other potential factors. There may be a bonus or commission, and/or a long-term incentive that will be provided as part of the compensation package, along with medical, financial and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
