Job description

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager, responsible for the development of our PES (Pedestrian Entrance Sensors) segment in the Southern Europe Sales Area, covering among others Italy. The position is based in Liège Belgium (Liège Science Park).

Mission

The Area Sales Manager role within BEA Europe's Sales Department includes the following responsibilities:

  • Contributing to market growth and positioning BEA as a preferred partner through in-depth market knowledge and strategic customer engagement plans.
  • Developing and executing a 3- to 6-month visit plan for customers and prospects, including targeted actions and training initiatives.
  • Ensuring strong market penetration by implementing an action plan aimed at increasing BEA’s market share, focusing on both existing clients and new prospects through the presentation of specialized products, services, and solutions.
  • Proactively responding to customer expectations by anticipating their needs and making well-informed decisions.
  • Acting as a central source of market and competitive intelligence, directly influencing product development and strategic decisions, while ensuring relevant insights are effectively shared across the BEA team.
  • Demonstrating expertise in applicable standards, shaping customer perspectives, and advocating for beneficial changes within national committees.

Your Qualities & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Business Studies or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in B2B sales.
  • Proven ability to develop a clear strategy (defined by KPIs), identify sales opportunities, and drive them to completion.
  • Ability to understand customer needs in a global context and a willingness to step outside of your comfort zone.
  • Fluent in French, Italian, and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, questioning, and sales argumentation skills.
  • Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively and share insights to achieve common goals.
  • Willingness to travel (30–40%).
