Internal Audit is responsible for providing independent assurance and guidance across all lines of business and team members are encouraged to think creatively, challenge current processes, build relationships, identify and evaluate current and emerging risks, and hold themselves and teammates accountable in a flexible and delivery driven environment. 

A Professional Practices Senior Analyst provides support for the Internal Audit department by implementing new processes and programs based on the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Global Standards and other banking regulations to make our Internal Audit team as impactful as possible. The senior analyst will be responsible for assisting in performance of the internal Quality Assurance review, administering IA responses to regulatory requests, supporting administration of the Risk Assessment process, executing Independence Assertions and Subject Matter Professional (SMP) evaluations for the Internal Audit team, and other special projects or assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of Internal Audit workpapers to ensure consistency and compliance with audit manual and industry standards.
  • Monitor and track regulatory requests and coordinate responses with Regulatory Relations and the Internal Audit department
  • Administer and report Independence Assertions for the Internal Audit Department
  • Conduct Subject Matter Professional (SMP) evaluations for the Internal Audit team and identify and report gaps.
  • Review training requirements for the team and track certification and training completion.
  • Contribute to the department and Professional Practices Program strategic initiatives
  • Maintain and continuously improve auditing, risk management, and banking industry expertise.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Limited travel maybe required including semi-annual in person Town Hall meetings in CT/ NY.

Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of combined experience in an Audit, Financial Services, or Risk Management environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • A working knowledge of audit practices and standards including the IIA International Professional Practices Framework, risk management methodology and internal controls is preferred
  • Prior Banking Industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong program management, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization, and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards and Bank values.
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with TeamMate+ Audit Management Software is a plus.

 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 USD to $115,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
