Job description

Responsible for designing training solutions to support the needs of the business and franchisees and their employees. They will create training using a variety of modalities, as well as provide support for their team on their specific projects, including storyboarding, coordination of materials for training events and video shoots, and other needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the leadership of the Sr Manager, Training Development, this role will utilize instructional design skills to design training solutions to support the needs of the business and franchisees and their employees.
  • Design e-Learning including storyboarding, video shoot scripting, and partnering with development vendors.
  • Design and develop instructor-led, and virtual instructor-led training materials.
  • Partner with project leads, internal clients, subject matter experts and third-party vendors on supporting the design of training.
  • Support coordinating with vendors and field teams on ordering and procurement of materials, products, uniforms, etc. as needed to support design initiatives.
  • Ensure supporting documentation and materials are up to date on the Brands’ LMS.
  • Work independently and as a team member while using discretion in decision making, critical thinking and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Car and air travel as needed to attend offsite meetings, visit restaurants for training engagements, etc.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experience.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

  • 3+ years demonstrable instructional design experience designing formal learning solutions in various delivery formats.
  • Critical thinking, decision making, and ability to balance creativity with business needs.
  • A portfolio of your recent work will be required during the interview process.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple workstreams
  • Ability to work in multiple settings and environments.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to adapt to varied and changing systems and technologies Self-starter with a desire to impact change and drive business and franchisee performance/

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
  • Familiarity with authoring tools, such as Storyline.
  • Restaurant or retail management experience with training accountability a plus

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • 10-20% travel
