Director, Technical Engineering & Solution Architecture, Octopai

As the Director for the Engineering & Solution Architecture team for Octopai you will lead our global technical engineering organization responsible for solution design, technical validation, implementation strategy, and ongoing platform optimization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, driving architectural consistency and technical rigor across both pre- and post-sales phases. You will manage and mentor a team of Technical professionals responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and performant solutions aligned with real-world implementation needs.

As the Director, Technical Engineering & Architecture you will…

• Lead and grow a global organization focused on driving engineering excellence across technical engagements.

• Define and enforce solution architectural standards, implementation frameworks, and reusable solution patterns.

• Own the technical strategy and execution across pre-sales validation (e.g. solution architecture reviews, POCs) and post-deployment success (e.g. optimization, integration, and scaling).

• Work cross-functionally with Sales and Engineering to ensure field learnings and architectural insights inform roadmap and platform decisions.

• Develop and implement repeatable solution architectures, technical documentation, and internal tooling that improve speed and quality of delivery.

• Create and monitor technical success metrics across delivery quality, solution performance, system scalability, and engineering velocity.

• Champion technical leadership in strategic customer engagements, serving as an escalation point for architecture and implementation challenges.

• Establish strong feedback loops between technical delivery and product engineering teams to refine end-to-end delivery.

 We are excited if you have (Qualifications):  

• Bachelors degree 

• 10+ years of progressive technical engineering leadership roles, ideally spanning both customer-facing and internal architecture or platform roles.

• Experience managing distributed technical teams focused on solution engineering, systems integration, and technical delivery.

• Deep knowledge of data platforms, graph databases, and data governance best practices.

• Proven success in building scalable, consistent solution delivery processes across multiple teams or geographies.

• Strong understanding of go-to-market collaboration, but with a core focus on technical depth and delivery excellence

• Excellent communication and documentation skills with a focus on cross-functional alignment and technical clarity.

• Ability to travel globally as needed
