As such, the student hired will have the opportunity to be involved in different aspects of the Center or, if the student has a specific area of interest, find a short-term or long-term project in that area. Some duties may include:

  • Research and writing assignments on emerging public safety issues, like artificial intelligence or drones
  • Draft social media posts or informational pieces
  • Assist in organizing Center events and thought leadership forums
  • Other duties as they may arise

More information about the Center can be found here: https://www.scps.virginia.edu/center-public-safety-and-justice
