The Strategy and Architecture team develop and implement technology strategy, capability, roadmap and investment plans to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for VicRoads.
About the Opportunity
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for proactively and holistically leading enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and analysing the execution of change toward the desired business vision and targeted outcomes.
This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and enabling VicRoads’ digital transformation. This role is part of the Strategy and Architecture function, working closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and delivery teams to ensure architecture is actionable, collaborative, and aligned with agile ways of working. The architect will lead domain-specific initiatives focusing on areas including modern business product digitisation, re-use and loosely coupled architecture approaches, supporting the engineering function as they mature CI/CD processes, and ensuring that architecture is defining and driving future-state digital workflows, channels and related capabilities are central to your role and the future of our products
About you
You bring deep expertise across at least three core areas—ranging from business, information, solution or technical architecture, to application development, middleware, data analysis, database management, or multitiered operations. You have a proven track record in strategic and operational planning, particularly within the public sector or similarly complex environments.
Your enterprise architecture knowledge is comprehensive, and you’re experienced in delivering its components within agile delivery settings, working closely with engineering and DevSecOps teams. You have significant domain experience across digital transformation, enterprise-scale AWS environments and services, and have delivered CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes. You also bring a solid understanding of modern digital architecture, including microservices, loosely coupled systems, customer experience (CX), and digital channels.
