We are intensively looking for pro-active Middle or Senior Software Development Engineer (C++) to join Navigational Simulator team. The candidate will work on market lead product Navi-Trainer Professional that actively in use for seafarers’ education in thousands maritime academies around the globe. The reason of hiring is active business and development team grow.

 

You will work in Scrum team on complex distributed system with tasks in many different domains from visual system to hardware integrations. The team believes in incremental delivery and work in close collaboration with customers.

 

Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.

 

This is a permanent role, the location is Helsinki, Finland.

 

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Participating in the development of a navigational simulator
  • Developing in C++11/14 and C#
  • Conducting code reviews
  • Developing under Windows
  • Supporting legacy code
  • Mentoring junior developers and interns

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5+ work experience in a relevant or related field
  • Good knowledge of C++ and C#
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Communicability
  • Proficient in any source control, debuggers, profilers and other software development tools
  • English at intermediate level or higher

 

Will be a plus:

 

  • Knowledge of COM/ATL
  • Knowledge of computational geometry algorithms
  • Experience in distributed system design
