Mitratech is seeking an experienced e‑learning developer to accelerate the creation of our award‑winning Articulate Storyline courses. Reporting to the Director of Learning Products, the Developer, Learning Products will own and evolve our Storyline template set and course shell; partner with designers, product leadership, and other stakeholders to build engaging courses; and occasionally deliver advanced client customizations. The role is fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America who possess near‑native fluency in U.S. English.

Job Overview 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as steward of Mitratech’s Articulate Storyline template library and default course shell; maintain design‑system components, documentation, and version control.

• Build world‑class Storyline courses in close collaboration with instructional designers, subject‑matter experts, and product leadership, ensuring on‑time delivery and adherence to design specifications.

• Implement advanced client customizations (JavaScript triggers, custom player mods, accessibility tweaks, etc.).

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Storyline output, LMS/LRS interoperability (SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI, cmi5), and cross‑browser/device compatibility.

• Import translated text, audio, and video for localized course versions; conduct thorough QA passes to verify language accuracy, interactivity, and visual consistency.

• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives: accelerate build/publishing workflows, refine development standards, and document best practices.

• 3+ years of hands‑on development experience with Articulate Storyline, including advanced triggers, variables, and JavaScript integrations.

• Proficiency in web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON) and media optimization.

• Demonstrated expertise packaging, publishing, and troubleshooting SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI, and cmi5 content in major LMSs.

• Strong eye for usability, visual consistency, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance.

• High level of written and spoken U.S. English fluency; Spanish, Portuguese, or French a plus.

• Ability to work autonomously from a remote location and overlap at least four hours with U.S. Pacific Time.

• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and project‑management tools (Asana, etc.) desirable.

• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills.

Education:                         

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, computer science, multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
