Our opportunity:

Automation Anywhere, a global leader in Agentic Process Automation (APA), is seeking a results-driven Head of Strategic Event Engagement to lead monetization efforts from our most strategic marketing events. As part of our Office of the COO, this role is critical in turning high-value event investments into qualified pipeline and closed bookings. You’ll work directly with the COO, CMO, and CEO, and partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure the right customers and prospects are engaged and business outcomes are achieved. This role is all about making sure the right people are in the room for business to happen at our strategic events and the right follow-through is made. From setting strategic goals and business plans to ensuring our teammates take the appropriate actions, you will serve as a conduit for success.

Who you’ll report to:

This role reports to our VP, Corporate Operations (Office of the COO)

Location: 

Hybrid role – Regular onsite workdays in our San Jose, CA required

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

  • Translating business goals into actionable event strategies in alignment with the COO, CMO, and CEO.

  • Driving full-cycle business development from event planning to post-event follow-up, ensuring clear pipeline and bookings outcomes.

  • Partnering with Sales leaders and Account Executives (AEs) to secure the right customer attendance and maximize in-event engagement.

  • Tracking, measuring, and reporting on pipeline generated and bookings influenced by each strategic event.

  • Developing standardized playbooks for pre-event targeting, AE enablement, onsite strategy, and post-event follow-up.

  • Serving as the central point of accountability for event ROI across the company’s top field, industry, and executive events.

  • Ensuring tight coordination across Marketing, Sales, and Executive stakeholders for seamless execution.

  • Traveling to support and lead execution at key events, which may include international travel.

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • 10+ years in field marketing, business development, demand generation, sales, or GTM strategy roles in a B2B SaaS or technology environment.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue impact from strategic marketing and field events.

  • Ability to lead others through cross-functional collaboration.

  • Experience in and a talent for articulating business value propositions to executive leaders.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales cycles, pipeline development, and event ROI metrics.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms.

  • Experience working in the COO or CEO office will help in having high-quality interactions with executives within our company and our customers.

  • Based in San Jose, CA.

  • Comfortable traveling to support global events and engagements.

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 – $170,000 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
