Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales team, which is comprised of inside sales executives and outside senior account executives. In this pivotal role, you will drive the productivity and effectiveness of the sales team, ensuring they meet their daily, weekly, and monthly goals. You will be responsible for providing accurate sales forecasts, coaching and mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with the VP of Sales to achieve our organizational objectives. 


Key Responsibilities of this role: 

  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports to senior management. 

  • Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, and client services to ensure sales effectiveness. 

  • Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies. 

  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendor partners and assist the sales team in building customer relationships. 

  • Support team members with bid responses, presentations, and proposals. 

  • Foster communication channels between the sales team and upper management. 

  • Recognize and celebrate individual and team successes to create a motivating environment. 

  • Hire and train sales representatives on systems, products, services, and market specifics. 

  • Conduct regular coaching and mentoring through 1:1 sessions and team meetings.

  • Salary and Wage: Competitive Base Salary + Commission and Bonus incentives (OTE $170K UNCAPPED)

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred. 
  • 5+ years of sales management experience at a director level; K-12 education or technology sector a plus 

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives and metrics-driven management and providing actionable insights. 

  • Proven success in lead generation and achieving sales quotas. 

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills. 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. 

  • Excellent organization and time-management abilities with a knack for prioritization. 

  • Collaborative, reliable, and a team player; adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
