Job_Summary:

PAR Technology Corporation is a leader in restaurant technology, empowering brands worldwide with innovative solutions. The NodeJS Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services and API.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Investigate and resolve production issues and customer-reported bugs with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term maintainability.

• Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.

• Continuously improve code quality, testing practices, and development processes.

Qualifications:

-Required:

• Strong background in Node.js/Typescript, PostgreSQL.

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

• A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.

• Excellent teamwork skills, coupled with an ownership mindset and the ability to work independently.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js (Typescript) and database management (PostgreSQL).

• 3+ years of backend development (with distributed systems and microservices) experience.

• Proficiency with GraphQL, TypeORM, and Nest.js.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills across software and hardware domains.

• Ability to self-organize and manage tasks in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Preferred:

• Ruby is a plus.

• Experience working with K8S, message brokers (RMQ), APIs, especially proprietary hardware or device integrations is a plus.
