Overview

We are looking for a Knife Sharpener here in our Pleasantville, NY office.

Responsibilities

Execute all tasks conducted by the team in the sharpening process

Maintain sharpening equipment and workstations in a clean, organized manner, performing routine inspections and minor maintenance.
Identify and report any quality concerns related to cutlery or knife box inventory.
Uphold a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, strictly following all company safety protocols.
Operate sharpening machinery with skill and attention to detail, adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations.
Gain expertise in blade grinding and sharpening techniques.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship.
Assist with administrative tasks as necessary to support production flow.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours at a time.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to communicate frequently and constantly maintain visual acuity in a busy production environment
Must be able to operate machinery safely for long periods of time.
Must be able to stand and move about the building and/or reach, bend, or twist.

Compensation Range: Hourly Rate up to $23.00/ HR Contingent upon Experience
